forwards & backwards

This poem is meant to be read (line by line) forwards and then backwards. Punctuation is all over the place (or lacking) because ultimately this is a poem to be read aloud, forwards and backwards.

there’s nothing you could say

but now

perhaps there is a chance

I once thought

we were just dreamers

but

sometimes dreamers are also heroes

and the whole world can change

with a glance

you can destroy me

and my hesitations

I am right to listen to my heart,

to believe in you

why would I ever think

I should never trust you

but

you think it fades away

and everything else

is garbage anyway

I love how everything you say -
