standing here, breathing

standing here, breathing

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

I came here to reminisce
about the cool crisp way
the leaves fall
and the delicate way
the wind calls
my name.

I came here to rearrange
the pieces of my mind
-turn them over-
one at a time
and whisper them
away.

I wish that one's memory could turn back the days.

A dewdrop quivers at the edge of the sky
I'm ready to cry
but I'm waiting on my cue.
I'm standing here, breathing,
waiting
for you.

What a lovely little poem! Good thing I've subscribed.
"I wish that one's memory could turn back the days."
^ I wish that all the time. It's wonderful to hear it out loud.
This was me a year ago:
"I came here to rearrange
the pieces of my mind
-turn them over-
one at a time
and whisper them
away."
I don't think I've ever read anything that sits as close to heart as that stanza.
Thank you thank you thank you.

WOW I just can't get over how you can bring out such deep emotions in black and white and make it feel so 3-D you really are a gift to the written word and once again this poem shows why.

A dewdrop quivers at the edge of the sky
I'm ready to cry
but I'm waiting on my cue.

Oh that part right there just really grabbed my heart and stole my breath... your amazing and gifted.

This is just such an amazing piece. You are truly gifted my dear. You have brought the longing for someone to the forefront and the heartache at the same time, gently stirring the emotions. Brilliant!

Again... again.
Such beauty. Such unforced beauty. If your writing feels like gliding through the winds, mine would be like bouncing along broken roads....

Though your theme is loss again, you have painted the image in a newness all poets wish they could create. The entire poem was incredible, especially the first 2 paras.

Why does your work move me so? You are beyond beautiful everywhere, even the somewhere that you wait in.

Dewdrops...tears...yes, the quivering on the edge of a lid, in the corner of an eye that reflects the days but only wishes to gaze at the him, and only when that eye gets it's wish, will it be allowed to release the tears....perfect.

Oh my, I want to hug you, hold you and make you tea!!!

all my love .me.
