A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

I opened the door
and strolled onto
the top deck
of the ship.

and he was there.

he was lying there
upon the floor.

he looked at me.

he lay there
and he looked at me.
right through me / straight to the soul
and I felt this sweet pain
(right around the vicinity
of my heart).

he was there.
on the top deck
of the ship
(randomly lying upon the floor)
randomly stealing/aching/breaking
my heart.

and at times
like
this

I wish I had taken the time
[the moment]
to collect
my shattered remnants
and lain myself

down with him.

This is really nice. It's like a pirate romance! Sort of...

You're amazing - I hope you know that.

Oh, this is good. Love that last line, totally killer. Thinking back to all the thing you should have done really sucks, even if this is made up, its incredably touching.

"Down with him"

Sigh! If only people knew how to really love.
