Suddenly You

Suddenly You

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

Days pass
[without you in them]
both in presence and in mind—
you are gone.

There is a vacancy in my heart…

I start to smile with the thought
of all the beautiful ways
I can fill it.

Until one day
[one blissful day without your ghost beside me]

I look up and
Suddenly you
are there.

Your physical presence
throws me off kilter.

I am the sieve through which you filter.

You swim through my veins.
How can a moment so different
feel exactly the same?

It always was and always will be
this way—
Many empty yesterdays
[tomorrows much the same]
but briefly, belatedly,

Suddenly you
were in Today.

Those lines read out so beautifuly in my mind that I read them over and over again. This is a wonderful poem! The first of yours that I've read and it is truely amazing! I've had similar thoughts and feelings, so I can relate very well to this! PERFECT!!! FAVORITE!
