in the throes of possibility

in the throes of possibility

A Poem by Kara Emily Krantz

in the midst of misbegotten
memories,
there is the distinct possibility
of promise in your
eyes.

in the throes of thwarted
testimonies,
i can imagine something
holding true.

and in the evening-time
when the moon is filling up all
the corners of my eyes,
i could cry.

and in the evening-time
when the air is static
with possibility,
i could try...

i could try.

for in the emptiness
of everything,
there is this fullness
deep inside
me.

and in the midst of midnight
meanderings,
there is something
to be said
for possibility.

Amazing use of words in the poem. I like the way you led the reader to the positive and hopeful ending. A new day born is possibility. Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

Always something to be said for dreams of things which might be or as the Bard of Avon said, "What dreams may come..." Wonderful write!

I like your style (: The second to last verse really connects as well, has so many resonant connotations with the lives we are living today and a kind of deep inner beauty.

I'm reading said book by Jack Kerouac, so I can't claim any credit for that! :)
