Only in my dreams
By Alasse Fefalas
Only in my dreams
Do I see this wonderful place
Its lush green gardens
And red stoned walks
A town living around a lake
Surrounded by mountains
Upon it a cloud of happiness
Grace and respect in every home
Love and adoration at ever turn.
Only in my dreams
Do I see this castle sitting upon the hill
Tall and gargantuous
Yet it does not loom over the town
The people love their ruler
The nature embrace their king
For he is a kind and gentle man
But he has no sons
Neither does he have daughters
For he is an unmarried man.
Only in my dreams
Do I see this handsome man
His warm, soft smile
And flowing golden locks
His blue eyes sparkle full of love
When he speaks to people
But yet the sparks fade
They die, extinguished from loneliness
He longs for his lover who will never come
For she was ill with disease
And buried six feet under.
Only in my dreams
Do I see myself comforting him
Hugging him, letting him cry
His actions leave me knowing
There is no woman to replace his lover
And I am content with him acknowledging my love.
And that is how it should end,
These dreams of mine
Never meeting him in reality
And only,
Only in my dreams.
