Maintenance
A Poem by Sanzabar
keeping up with everything u have, connections u have made, everything
Constantly Trying to keep up Collecting Materials Along the way Time decays In the mind Gathering dust Over Accumulation Once cherished Breaking down Dormant rust Slow burns To ash Unless Constantly Dusted off Used In its purpose Suffering the loss To neglect Possibilities Of never being Restored

This one is quite interesting, not least so because of the minimalist but meaningful presentation. Each verse comes across in the way a thought does in the mind. Rather than being complete sentences, we get only the sense of what the thought means. After reading the poem a few times and letting possible meanings present themselves, an outlook is discernible. The speaker seems to be somewhat frustrated by the accumulation of things in his life. There are apparently too many to allow him to properly utilize all of them. Some have even become dilapidated through neglect. All in all, a good comment on our consumer society.

I find that I some times write out in complete thoughts and break them down to a minimalist view, and sometimes I start off writing that way and make out complete thoughts. I often write when I am frustrated it's what fuels me to get the thoughts out of my head into something constructive, it truly is a great therapy for me and I love to see it connect with others
