Only an anchor knowsA Poem by Sanzabardying at sea, what an anchor must feel like
Plop~
Sink into the depth Time moves slower You no longer feel your weight Succumb to the mind numbing darkness Fractals of light Reflect slowly away Thrashed~ Tumbles of movement Back and forth Rumbling through your core Dryness and wetness exchanged Blood chilled Hairs reach toward the sun Where the mind races In every possible direction Gasping~ Exploding itself Among all matter Until it focuses inward Compounding Indefinitely... Thud~ Something solid Awakens you From deep slumber Scraping against you At a constant speed Suddenly you stop Back pops Stretched out and pulled tight For a second Belief of being ripped apart Hung~ By the peace that comes From finding your place At the bottom Still fastened to All that matters
