Reciprocate

when all you do is reciprocate in a relationship...

If I only become a mirror to you

I will become alone

withdrawn into my own place

farther and farther away...

If I am only a projection of yourself 

in this place

Then there is no room for me

I am but a reflection

Lost to the shadows of the pool

of emotions that are ever changing

Always struggling and forcing 

our own personal understanding

our own idea of this world

Trying to make others see 

exactly how we see

We feel 

we are so alone 

Forced illness

Like trying to align 

other planets and stars 

to revolve around us

Whilst also assuming

to be the very sun itself

Recluse for a time

if we must

regroup to realize 

Outside of us

There is more to be given than received
