Sorrow

Sorrow

A Poem by sansrity sinha

The place I live, the place I breathe,

Suddenly appears strange to me.

No longer homely, no longer tender,

It is now a path of rocks transformed from the bed of roses…

Why so hostile? Why so ambiguous?

Where is all the faith lost?

Loss of confidence, decay of courage,

Now haunts my mind which was once home of optimism.

Memories flash my eyes and ears,

Just like lightening during thunderstorm!

Drops of tears depart my eyes;

Just like rains departing from clouds.

I struggle to hold behind my sorrows;

Fighting against all odds…

Why should I give up when I have done no wrong?

I pray for that ray of sunshine;

To pierce the dense cloud of thoughts;

Lingering through time awaiting that tragic loss.

The below lines. We shall know often in a long life.
"Why should I give up when I have done no wrong?
I pray for that ray of sunshine;
To pierce the dense cloud of thoughts;
Lingering through time awaiting that tragic loss."
We will fall and we shall rise. We will gain wisdom and know what we truly need. Thank you sansrity for sharing the amazing poetry.

You're welcome.
Like the slow build up to this.
You can feel the pain through it.
Maybe change the last line to make it stronger.
To pierce the dense cloud of thoughts.
Lingering through time awaiting that tragic loss.
