Riviera

Riviera

A Poem by Sandipan Majhi

Riviera, is what they called you,
What is freedom ?

A shadow that clings,
As far as it seems,
Freedom deceives.

Tell me, what is love?

A music so sweet,
Playing in your beat,
Love's hard to repeat.

So magnificent of you,
Reality as it seems,
Is hard to continue.

Riviera,
Can I hold your hand?
Will you be my, peace?

Peace is disgrace,
As it is a gaze,
Like a coward lost in a maze.

Will stay with you,
Will make love with you,
Will sing you the love song.

If you can me make squeal,
And make me roll and reel,
Till the thirst stops to be a deal.
