Which line to follow?

Which line to follow?

A Poem by Sandra Flood

Yellow lines curve parallel

To the similar red and white,

Layed out for the citizen

To feel safer at night.

But these are nothing of comfort

Never steady, rolling in and out,

With life that speedy tires wore down.

Even in their prime,

It's not long before you find

The acid tainted spine,

Giving all the permission

To go a little faster

Because the whole back

Is left in tact.

An open road, never broken

By a flag,

full staffed,

floating.
