Nostalgia

Nostalgia

A Poem by Simone

I remember those careless days
when tomorrow never came
When your dreams were as wide as The Amazon river
And you never had a fear of chasing them
I wish I could go back
Time flew faster than the Flash
before I could open my eyes my childhood had vanished
Like a theft in the night
things just weren't the same
"Be careful what you wish for" my mom always said
Not understanding because I just wanted to grow up
and do grown up things
But now that I'm here
I just want to curl up and reminisce about the days I used to have
