Waymaker. Promise keeper. Light in the darkness.

I'm sitting here frightened and alone 

with no one to call my own

I often look out onto the stars' 

and wonder why God's brought me this far

When I look into the mirror 

I try and see how the world views me 

Feelings of worry and anxiety fill my head 

I'm scared 

No one sees the real me 

No one sees how hard I try to succeed 

No one sees me working to become the best I can be 

I'm scared

My past comes back to haunt me 

Why did I do it ? 

What was I thinking?

Did I not care?

PAUSE 

I'm used to locking my feelings in the basement 

unable to be heard or seen 

But like a hurricane the doors flew open
