Unending Love

Unending Love

A Poem by Samuel H. Ludke

I fear the day when lose you I will,
The very thought of this gives me a chill.
I've loved you with my heart and more,
But now I think my heart is sore.
I've cried and tossed and turned at night.
You've given me quite an unearthly fright.
I know I'm not a perfect man,
We cuddled one night beside the fan.
If you cannot see me soon,
We will be done before tomorrow at noon.
My cheeks are flushed and my heart is heavy,
Please hold me in your arms already!
The truth is I miss you too much,
I think about your smile and such.
I hope to see you in my dreams,
Maybe I'll take you for some ice creams.
I love you and you know I do,
I just hope you love me too.
