AngerA Poem by Samuel H. Ludke
What anger is this, that causes pain and dispair?
I see you snarl and flare up your flowing hair. While you pace and attack, I pause and grab from my cigarette pack. Your words fly over my thick head, Please dear, go back to bed! You must know it pains me so, To watch you stoop so low. You must come back when you are ready, Settle yourself, neat and steady! I'll love you now when you're mad, You've left now, part of me is glad. I'll love you when you return, I'll control my anger, I won't get a turn. © 2019 Samuel H. Ludke |
