Buried

Buried

A Poem by Samuel H. Ludke

That glistening pond,
In the great plain beyond.

With waters crystal blue,
Bring your friend you love so true.

With endless sun and deadly fun,
You'll truly want to jump and run.

I've been here since time began,
I've seen you small, oh how you ran!

I'm buried in the wind,
I'm buried beyond pure thought,
Remember the lessons I have taught.

I think about you all night long,
Remember me with a joyous song.

While I'm gone you sit and wait,
I'm not there now to set you straight.

I'm here with you now and always,
In you lives on my ways.
