Nobody

Nobody

A Poem by Samuel H. Ludke

Nobody but me, nobody to judge,
Nobody to see, nobody to hear,
Nobody to weep, nobody to fear,
Nobody to shiver, nobody to care.
From forth the wicked shadows came,
Ten hundred demons all the same.
Nobody but me can hold them back,
Nobody but me can mount the attack.
When lonely walls start to close,
When I am too deep to lose.
There will be be nothing left,
They will complete the theft.
My soul it wavers,
My soul is spent,
my life came and went.
I am here now to warn those who fear,
They have taken me, who you loved you dear.
The fiery hell awaited me,
I do not wish for you to see.
Let me guide, don't you stray,
or you will be here to stay.
I am not afraid of the chosen path,
No go, go home and go forth.
