Moving On

Moving On

A Poem by Samuel H. Ludke

I'm sorry that I write this now,
but my brain can only take so much.

I'll admit I must be going crazy,
I admit I really do miss your touch.

Even though we are apart now for good,
I still hope you are in a cheerful mood.

I can't say it was easy to give you up,
I'm old enough to sip from the cup.

The drinks don't take the pain away,
In my mind you're always going to stay.

Keep the memories with you,
Think about me when you're feeling blue.
