Spring time

Spring time

A Poem by Samuel H. Ludke
"

A poem about spring.

"
There is no fear to be had,
Winter is quite mad.
I know it has been here for long,
songbirds break the dawn with their song.
Runners and fisherman flock to the streams,
boys and girls get their ice creams.
When you and I look back on this,
may our spring be full of bliss.
When  we look back on this,
May there be joy in all of this.
When winter comes back and brings it's deathly stare,
when our spirits are a little worse for wear.
We shall all look back on this spring,
fearing what the next winter will bring.
Even though we fear the snow white and cold,
shining bright comes through those memories of old.
There is no fear to be had,
we are all going quite mad.

Nice imagery and good rhyming. Captures well the exuberance of the incoming spring.
