Cold Is The Heart

Cold Is The Heart

A Poem by Sam

Cold is the heart

To understand.

To breath the fire.

Lighter

Is the man,

Is his art.

Laud not the liar,

Stoke truth, not

Pyre.

Ember of coals

Be righteous hearths,

Remember.

Acquit, forget;

To understand.

Becometh sin;

To breath the fire.

Maybe this is saying good people may seem cold, but can more than handle the wicked, the liar. Also there is a call to be "good," "righteous," maybe to forgive by "acquit, forget" Ultimately though, this is about understanding sin to fight it as in fighting fire with fire. Interesting. Disarming takes persistence and patience, virtues. A noble pursuit indeed. Also I get the sinful's art is lighter as in inferior perception and resolution capability. Also true, unfortunately. A balancing of temperatures can be felt. Cold vs fire so that the cold can more than handle the fire. Lots to think about. Nice job. A bit cryptic.
