I Am Alive

I Am Alive

A Poem by Sam
"

Don't throw it away.

"

I am alive,

Bit into life unknowing.

It’s been years,

But I’m still growing.

I take a shine,

Well time, begins.

Some twists of fate,

Make me grow thick skins.

Lights are on,

And the gods are grinning.

Force my hand,

So I’m never winning.

Hearts come along,

Then they break.

I opened up,

A big mistake.

Yet I am young,

What are years and minutes?

I’m still here,

I should test my limits.

The world is big,

It’s mine for the taking.

My body’s strong,

I am alive and kicking.

I'm a sucker for great imagery, and this was great!

A really enjoyable piece.

I love your rhyming scheme, its so effortless, and natural. You are a natural writer.
This piece is more deep more full of emotion. I feel the emotion and depth mainly in this line.
Hearts come along,
Then they break.
I opened up,
A big mistake.
Im sure allot of people can relate to that to.

Great piece i really enjoyed reading that.
Well done:)
