The eccentric Lord Barlough, known for swooping in at the last moment to save the day, and Eoghan, his new squire and apprentice who is rarely entrusted any details until after the fact, are both hired to rescue Duchess Rowena, a spy, and to prevent a devastating invasion. On their journey, Lord Barlough and Eoghan encounter far more than bandits, pirates, goblins, and a deadly hurricane.
