For Mom,A Poem by Samuael CubitA piece of a poem I wrote for my mother
In the woods, is me, dancing alone.
To a love written sign on the moon, A sign guiding me all the way back home. With you, there, wiping the tears away. From all the scraped knees, Dirt stained love, all the blood. Cracked open head, Scars on my arms, Flood damage to my heart. Standing, as still as a boulder, Holding my arms, ‘Won’t let you drown, Love you too much to watch you fall.’ © 2016 Samuael Cubit |
