The Last Sang Song

The Last Sang Song

A Poem by Sam Stephens

Though it may be hazy, there's an unbreakable clasp
Something beautiful to lightly grasp
Emphasis on lightly, though it may be disappointing
Every individual needs it to get through mediocrity

What's life without the single temptation to let go?
We're all human, thus we make this mistake. But is it worth the loneliness, the blow?
As hard as the rapids of a river, that's how a bond should be
Like the sky and the sun, two things should feel complete

Old letters, portraits, and memoirs too
The ocean cleaves its waves, as the waves cleave the moon
Regretful words said, I can't forgive you enough
'cause you were there when life was tough
As hard as it was, it was only weeks ago
You and I were right below
enemies; where did I go wrong?
I can't comprehend the last sang song

This is pretty and sad. Your use of the phrase "last sang song" rather than simply "sast song" makes it especially poignant.
