Her Dark and Evil Beauty II

Her Dark and Evil Beauty II

A Poem by Samuel Pennell

She was dark cloud-hearted,
And she possessed an evil beauty

Dark lashes and brows
And of course dark brown eyes that

And although dark clouds
were billowing all around her heart,
there was a cat-like beauty
in the curve of her hips

As she stood there, in the snow,
With a snowball poised in her hand,
ready to throw, chunks of snow
melting and dripping off of it

Her voice echoed off into the dark forest,
Her youthful shouts were muffled by the snow
and it seemed the world was ending all around us:

It felt as though we were the last two humans on Earth,
as I looked off into the creaking silence of the dark woods.

It was Tuesday forever

As the gentle snow
Swirled silently around us.

The snow silently twirled down,
out of the dark and quiet emptiness.

Yes. Sometimes beauty nurtures evilness in her. So devastating you have drawn the bewitching beauty of the girl painting through your powerful words that flow from head to tell describing all the most vibreting expression under the soft chillness of being two on the wide wide world warms the feelongs of love inside ..
Thanks sharing so nice feelings!

Thank you so much! God bless you, and thank you for reading!
It was Tuesday forever....wow...such a simple line and yet so powerfully placed in this poem, the impact is heartwrenching...

I love the imagery, the emotion...cold...lonely.. You have captured it well.

This is a really fascinating analogy, with the snow sort of blanketing this girl in a way. The line "It was Tuesday forever" is my favorite.

We had our moments of intoxication of the dark and for the wrong. We did enjoy those moments despite all those wounds. It is another matter that we would not like to go the same path again.

It was Tuesday forever, perhaps on that day you could hold onto that beauty while the snow covered the evil that was lying within. I like this reworking very much.

I had a similar experience in Croatia (west of Italy). There is something about the illusionary end of the world that really works in poetry. A nice write Samuel!

Like the thoughts of a man in the soft core of liquor chocolates ... like the building blocks of life desiring to manifest in existence ... waiting for the rock of touch to dare to reach out and press upon her soft tissues. Nice ...

I don't know why this reminds me of Snow White... but it does. Overall, a great poem. Thanks for sharing!
