On a dismal Sunday afternoon.

The drizzle of the rain, and the switch of the cat's tail

And his stare: the hypnotic gaze of his infinite green eyes. 

A trance that lasts a thousand years.

Oh, I am convinced that there is no muscle or word stronger than a cat's stare. What a brilliant choice of subject matter! "A picture says a thousand words," which is what you have done in this short, but ever so careful image description. Profound. Leaves me wondering. What I would give to know what a cat is so decidedly thinking when it stares like this! I am VERY impressed.
