Nana

Nana

A Poem by Samantha Grace
"

I wrote this about my grandmother a little while after we found out she had cancer. [RIP :( ]

"

Grace sits on a windowsill

Waiting for time to set it free

Not knowing that each passing minute

Only brings down a shower of grief

Confusion lusts after a simple mind

In a dawn of tranquil harmony

Always knowing, waiting

But never accepting fate

Forgiveness waking with each thought

Yet unable to crawl out of bed

And put its feet on the floor

Being too weary and restless to understand

Judgment takes a stand

Pressing on authority

This is it - the end

The result a fault
