A request from death

A request from death

A Poem by Sammypookins

Come with me now,
Take up my hand and follow along.
Walk in my footsteps if you wish.
You cannot stumble,
I will not let you fall.
My hand will guide you through.

Or follow if you will,
A step or two behind,
I shall not let you leave the path,
I cannot lose you now.
Make your way,
Each step a step in time.

Allow my voice to guide you,
To lead you on your way.
As you walk on,
Cast off your fears.
Leave them in your wake,
Throw your sadness to the wind.
Take off the guilt and pain you wear like a coat.
Let it slip away and fade.

Journey on with me.
I can be a companion or a friend.
Do not fear me.
Come willingly,
I will lead you home.

The title grabs you straight away and on that journey we are taken,
the road not feeling lonely in your words...........
Take off guilt and pain you wear...........this was a great line, and a thought that we
all hope is so, I expect!
