Give me a break.

Written for a fairy contest, Fun Fun Fun.

Dear boss,

They eat too much sugar,
And their teeth are a state.
I’m in need of a holiday,
Or at least a short break.
I am almost worn out.
My poor wings are all tattered.
I have too much to do,
Believe me I’m shattered.
I want a week on an island.
Just sun sand and sea,
A place with no children,
Just a good book and me.
All the wine I can drink,
A whole week of peace,
Some respite, some rest
And definitely no teeth.
