First glance....

I stared at the computer screen, not really concentrating on my message to darren. What was the point in this? He knew. I knew. Everybody knew. So what was the point? I love him, He loves her. Simple My sister told me. But i knew it wasn't. It wasn't really simple as to the fact I wished for him, messaged him everyday, dreamed about him. And it wasn't really simple that when he was around me my stomach fluttered, my eyes dazzled and mouth kept shut. I couldn't bring my self to talk to him and I hated it. But that's not the problem...

The problem is I'm truly madly in love with Darren......and so is Jane.

Jane....my best friend since nursery, the only person I trust and my soulmate. I had betrayed her like this and it was the worst thing I had ever done.ever.

Jane loved him first. She had known him from the local swimming pool and gym. Every sleepover she would tell me about him. Explaining every detail. At first he seemed like just another one of her crushes. Me and Jane have totally different taste when it came to boys so I didn't take any notice to what she was saying. Until she introduced me to him.

It was at the swimming baths, she had insisted on dragging me along to a pool party, mainly because Darren was going. I only agreed as my parents were away and it was boring at the house. She had been up all morning doing her hair and make up just for him. Me? My hair was greasy so I had stuck up in a messy bun and put one of my older bikinis on. I wasn't trying to impress anyone, in fact I didnT even wipe the smudge mascara I had on from the night before. Oh how I wish I had taken the time to wash and straighten my hair, replace the make up and put on a decent bikini.

"your hairs just going to get messy when your in the pool you know," I told her as she applied more makeup.

"just wait until you see him then you'll see why I'm trying so hard, this boy is lush!" she replied.i just sighed, I thought he would be just a regular boy after all she did go out with Matt Lonsdale!

What had I let myself up for, I thought as we stood shivering at the showers waiting for Darren. He was late and I was starting to wish I wGas back at home, even if I was bored. Until he arrived.....

he had soft brown Matty hair and soft golden skin, big blue eyes and soft pink lips. His tanned stomach was toned and flat. His voice when he said "hey" dazzled me, it was soft almost like a magical whisper. The way he dragged his fingers through his hair took my breath away. He was.... Perfect.

"hi Darren this is Sadie my like BFF! Lol.....Sadie this is Darren," she giggled as she twisted her hair and pranced around.dear lord she couldn't make it any more obvious. I opened my mouth to say hi but no words came out. For a moment we stood staring at each other until a busy mum came rushing past us knocking Jane ofF her feet. Literally. I gasped put of my day dream and helped her up, her cheeks were flamed red and she pretended to laugh it off. It didn't work. He laughed slightly then ushered us over to the pool.
