Lazy Days

When everyone has their head in the clouds, does it help to be grounded?

Star filled eyes look upward

Dreaming of a change to the "Status Quo"

People will stand like statues erected in time

Waiting for oblivion perhaps?

People want to 'Save' the world

Instead I will sleep

Perfectly grounded

In a group of cloud-runners

Failure traded for sanity

Does this make me crazy?

A better question lays with

Do I even care?

In the opposition of agreement

Will lay the answer to this question

Let you figure it out for yourself

I'll be lost in slumber

A very thoughtful read... I loved the imagery - a sense of peacefulness amongst chaos that was soothing in a way. I loved the lines "People will stand like statues erected in time/Waiting for oblivion perhaps?" especially. Vivid, powerful language. Thanks for sharing!

Nothing wrong with being grounded... "I'm not on the outside looking in, I'm not on the inside looking out
I'm in the dead f*****g center, looking around." Kendrick Lamar.... sometimes it's best to be grounded and be able to see whats real around you.

I liked the lais·sez-faire attitude permeating the poem. But mostly i liked that connection between clouds and being grounded. A+ :D

Brilliant use of imagery and the poem has a very calm air.
