Disfigured HeartA Poem by SammA boy told himself he wasn’t good enough, but I’m determined to call his bluff. This boy is and will always be a survivor And I am the one to be his secret admirer. His smile has always been my savior, However, he cuts himself deep with a razor. His cuts are made deep in his skin And let’s not forget he’s growing too thin. For when I once knew him, he was a happy soul, Now he has shriveled to a black brown coal. His bright, warm, sunshine-like smile, Now has turned into something you only see, once in awhile You can hear happy his laugh and his devilish grin what now seems like a deadly sin He loves too hard Because his heart has been marred But I’ll love his disfigured heart © 2018 SammReviews
