Love Verbs

A modern English sonnet

You will see flashes and hear the thunder
Strikingly, storms come when least expected
Striding golden parades, imputing blunder
Burnishing clouds, beyond what lies protected.

I contemplate the paths of the maelstrom
Impacting befallen moods in wedlock
The fresh scents and bridled sights whence hailed from
Where artists' minds run free and Eagles flock.

So, I write you letters in slow motions
Behind visible walls of driven fibs
Shaking my core of forever notions
This heart eagerly bleeding between ribs.

You will see flashes and hear my lone words
That bid the muse graceful vows and love verbs
