I pray for a just, peaceful solutions to any conflict between people. Here is my 2 cents or small effort to bring people back from the madness and the abyss.

"

Warnings            by Sami Khalil

I pray for a peaceful and just solution for any conflict between people

The sceneries of war become rooted

In us now that we may see the abyss

Bit by bit, nibbling at reasons suited

Gifting caskets where death’s axes all bliss.

Death has aimlessly no color lingering

Where justice walks on a tightrope snugly

Through peril and pain eyes in awe picturing

Fearing loss of precious life cores doubly.

Days are coming when no one has shelters

Holding soft hearts on palms of shaking hands

I pray that treacherous times force dwellers

To seek peaceful solutions where peace stands.

Time comes when the tides pull us further out

To drown mangled bodies in hate no doubt.

YES SIIIIRRRRR. Humans are a peculiar species. Gracie millee.
It all started when someone wanted a bigger slice of the pie than they were suppose to hence someone else saw it, didn’t like it and the war broke out. It’s funny the majority of people just want to live in peace but there’s always that one who just can’t help themselves and it took so long to bake it. Trying to be funny Sami. Another fine sonnet.

A most awesome gripping sublime poem lamenting the needless deaths of masses in unequal war by selfish tyrannical super powers upon masses weakened by a terrorising regime of ethnic cleansing since ages. Palestine is dying a slow death and terror power of oppressor land usurpers doesn't relent.. Kudos!!

Even when we see the abyss...we still fly to the edge of it and then over it with our hate, bigotry and vanity.
Precious life means so much to us poets, we pray and write for peace.
Soon not only the bodies will be mangled but all of our keyboards as well.
Powerful write, Sami.

So very eloquently written Sami. Sadly the innocents suffer. I too am hoping that the violence will stop, but I fear it has only just started. It is a tragedy that it has come to this. A horror story of what the future might bring. It grieves so many of us. War is futile.

Hatred like tides pulls people apart the inevitable outcome is blood will flow and heartbreaking as it is many that suufer are innocent non combatants, if only that hatred could be diluted such conflicts would never start, leaders, politicians please take note..

A well structured sonnet espousing the absolute futility of war, sadly as we speak the violence ongoing!

A much needed sonnet for the times we face today. How I wish those involved have the wisdom you eloquently present here. Nice one.
