Signs

Signs

A Poem by Sami Khalil
"

She loves me, she loves me not...

"

Signs                       by Sami Khalil

Miles precede milestones

Waves presage crashes

Births lead to deaths

Blooms before withering

Sceneries forgo travelers

 Sleeps succeed awakenings

Writings foreshadow readings

Parents usher in children

Roots give way to branches

Idles introduce movements

Readiness prior to changes

Youngsters in advance of the elderly

Dreams guide actions

Chaos antecede order

Inner beings preface the outer

Kingdoms come before crowns

Unknowns pioneer the knowns

Weaknesses linger closer to strengths

Plots prevene stories

Questions blaze the trail of answers

Signs portend warnings

This made me grin. Its clever and raw. Rough and throwing daggers. There are too many lines to say what is my favorite. I really like it Sami.

dearest Sami... We are the Spirit that guides our World as the Signs in the Sky predict. On the silent Battlefield... we loose some and honor their Quest. We are determined to Save our World with renewed Courage...
knowing that there is so much Sacred to be Saved. softly, Pat

He loves me, he loves me not......such a sweet game young girls play with daisies. It's been years since I saw the French name for the game. Yes, the entire world is a case of "if...then...." we are filled with opposites and contradictions in this world. You have written about them eloquently! Lydi**

the answer always lies in the number of petals the flower used has... perhaps the real question to ask is what comes first the calm or the storm??? or said another way - there is always a lead-up to the change... in every change, it is the internal which determines the potential outcome... she can only love you if you are lovable... and Sami, being a master poet, how can she not!! loved reading your poem Sami...

cleverly told. sometimes it seems as though the only thing we can depend on is change. we'd probably be better off bringing her flowers rather than plucking petals and playing games for revelation ... :)
