Low Hanging Fruit

Low Hanging Fruit

A Poem by Sami Khalil

Low Hanging Fruit      by Sami Khalil

Thoughts on failure and success in relationships.

An English Sonnet...

There is deafness in the air that lingers

Calling out things left between us unsaid

Paying no mind to me, pointing fingers

Had I gone to great lengths, failing instead.

Failure needs neither speech nor ears to hear

Only dreamscape statues to behold thus

What a stranger who bounces back from fear

Whistle and walk like a hero, nonplus.

Hold your breath through the canvas of the night

Confident the briny tears shall avail

I ponder words that bind some beings tight

Leaving indentations of sketchy trail.

There is no pleasure in low hanging fruit

Fondly praised are the wins in earned pursuit.

This poem seems like continuation of another poem by same author, failure in relationship at times build a strong foundation of character of an individual especially same person went through hardships which he or she does not deserve it if taken in to account real facts and circumstances not merely on fabrications of stories in relationships, the new earned state depicted as desirable fruit stayed so high but now in your reach, lots of footing on real world, I hope I understood your poem the way you meant, excellent writing
