There is deafness in the air that lingers

Calling out things left between us unsaid

Paying no mind to me, pointing fingers

Had I gone to great lengths, failing instead.

 

Failure needs neither speech nor ears to hear

Only dreamscape statues to behold thus

What a stranger who bounces back from fear

Whistle and walk like a hero, nonplus.

 

Hold your breath through the canvas of the night

Confident the briny tears shall avail

I ponder words that bind some beings tight

Leaving indentations of sketchy trail.

 

There is no pleasure in low hanging fruit

Fondly praised are the wins in earned pursuit.

Nothing gained is easy, and not all earned must be gained through difficulty.

Sometimes it is the immeasurable saturation of time and effort bleeding through us, out onto the page, that reaffirms our feelings.

Sometimes... We can only find resolution through release of expectation in an end.

I wish sometimes I could redo arguments, say/do different things...

But then I would not be me, and them not they.

Low hanging fruit which tumbles to the earth and eventually rots... akin to a relationship with different expectations leads to unwanted anxiety and potential problems within..... as we all know relationships are work on both sides and a big part of it is trust...and if that is lost then..... your words are truly amazing Sam and it all fits neatly into a puzzle...
