Gaily RootedA Poem by Sami KhalilGaily Rooted by Sami Khalil With cherry blossoms and robins pleasing Mornings drift to wide-eyed sunrise glory Calling out spring from dormant gloom teasing The timely shine of sunflowers’ story. I espy the floral realms’ pride across Rolling supreme in colorful, new bonds With quickened pace, butterflies-lifted dross Off meadows’ earthen faces and hued ponds. Some need not those flapping wings to soar high Neither magic carpets’ ride to heaven For nature provides day-dreaming supply If you can wrap your head around beauty, brazen. When was last time you embraced the rooted? For we can leave self-signatures suited. © 2024 Sami KhalilReviews
