Hand-written LinesA Poem by Sami KhalilHand-written Lines by Sami Khalil We grew in silence and by words of mouth Poised potently with ravenous hunger To eternally bind due north and south Casting our cares in dismays asunder. In that instance, we conjured wispy ghosts Who raged fearless in our haunted house No courses to follow, no drawn signposts Lies lay scattered, somethings bound to espouse. Until the glittering sun awakened And the rising fog found solace and health Chasing the wickedest hunt, while chastened With a foreboding sense, tip-toeing death. You wandered into my life wondering That which echoes, are lonely minds pondering. © 2024 Sami KhalilReviews
