Fools rush inA Poem by Sami KhalilFools rush in by
Sami Khalil Faintly, I hear the measured breath of love Looking through a one-sided mirror’s view Ears open up to hear prattling thereof For some lovers take on more they can chew. Percipience clears up recondite things -The quietude calls of the spurious- Yet is better to have euphoric strings Then not love any, drifting down curious. All dormant things hold promises of doubt While ones lost quell long-winded subterfuges For rose-colored lenses, longings do sprout At the tail-end, miscues teach best uses. Step back, let past thoughts find due purposes Outliving jousting shows and circuses. © 2024 Sami KhalilReviews
