Thoughts AriseA Poem by Sami KhalilThoughts Arise by
Sami Khalil I like rustic barns and rickety mills Even the ones painted by some artists By waves rolling shoreward, winds soughing hills Down the sunlit skylines and fields’ harvests. Should I say my answer is mere bonding For I declare on gray days, I feel rapt By swirling dreams and tangled wires hanging Vying for the carnival senses, so apt. Discern what you like and leisurely fits Either asleep or until wakefulness Celebrate the burning urges and wits For in silent attentions hide greatness. Now that my French horns are old and weary Joy still erupts, thinking of my Dearie. © 2024 Sami KhalilReviews
