An English Sonnet...

To be captives or not to be as slaves

Tis restless dragons with steely downsides

Dishonored toils, bearing freshly dug graves

A task master, soughing our great divides.

 

While existing is a must, living stands not

A crossbow of options with short arrows

Freedom is a harvest, bravely been wrought

Long live the free, sowing seedless fallows.

 

Let no one swindle you of fine treasure

We came to be, mighty force warriors

The rhythm of the sea, singing together

As one people, the chivalrous keepers.

 

To be free means to see the world below

Seeking justice for all, with gusto so.

I do agree. The privileged do get away with lots of things; not fair or just for others. Real justice should be on balanced scales, all under the law not above and all are innocent till proven guilty.

This was great. I like to think the greatest freedom is individuality. If we appreciate the unique in each other we can never be victims of stereotypical prejudice. If we appreciate the individual in ourselves we free our minds and spirits to be ourselves without clinging to the expectations of others as confining social parameters. I don't cherish the idea of being part of the crowd but I cherish every part of the crowd separately if that makes sense. I enjoyed the read.
