Images In The WoodgrainA Poem by Sami KhalilImages In The Woodgrain by Sami Khalil Surrounded by lush woods…body and strife Topped with green canopies, invoking land Images in woodgrain… venture a life Escaping unbound thoughts, as light gleams grand. Enticed by sweet gestures of natural wood Stories be told in houses, centuries old From timbre to works of art, finely stood A testament to swirling dreams of gold. Are we not molded by invisible hands Created by Love through His great image Why then detest wondrous and living strands The gifted crafts of God mock sacrilege. Surrounded by lush woods…comforting souls I feel blameless in my visceral strolls. © 2024 Sami KhalilReviews
