Dull Be A WinterA Poem by Sami KhalilFor Valentine's day...Dull Be A Winter by Sami Khalil Dull be a winter; abandoned gardens, frozen memories, tempered hearts, feeble pens, creeping clocks. Well above the emotional clutter, my thoughts floated, softly paraded, patiently waited… eruptions of lightning, surreal thundering, gentle passing of ceiling’s shadows; feelings of nowhere hooked to daily yearning, dangling over barren, lonely trees. This aching for you must dissipate upon, dwindle over the blossoming spring dreams, for we are absent of ourselves, glimpsing not the spaces between us, the devious grips, the sinister horizons. Be confident, I revel not! I paint not the town
red in your privation. Dull be a winter. Dull be a winter! © 2023 Sami KhalilReviews
