Sailing through ...

I Have The Sea                     by Sami Khalil

I have the sea…

the pieces of memories

floating upon the sea-foam

that goes over the waves.

I stare at the fishermen-

wonder about their catch,

mine in life, too

that went against the grain;

circles made into books.

I have the wind…

under the spread of clouds,

pushing across my shoulders,

filtering the salty air.

I’m unsure, but I hear

the fog horns dislodging

my deep thoughts.

To the eyes belong

the art of love;

to the heart belongs its spoils,

holding that firm line.

I have the shells of a sea…

caressing the shores.

dear Sami.. love the line.. “I have the shells of the Sea”. Most of our World is Water.. so we have millions of Shells to listen to the Roar of the Sea Lions .. Be still and also
