Peacock And DovesA Poem by Sami KhalilEverything will be accounted for...Peacock and Doves by Sami Khalil Friable sands
of time Between our
fingers… Frayed dreams
of yore on oil
slick roads… simper and
laugh politely,
harshly, while overweening
clouds spill their
heavy loads, across traversed
hills and valleys, over repleted peacock and doves, the grey
edges of existence, the curved blessings
of rainbows, round the
bends of faith and doubt. T ’was the
day before our birth, the day
after departure; landlord
awaiting, to bless with
love greetings or curse with roughhewn exiles, where winds
sigh through, the eerie
sight of falling leaves, the ready
answers of sore vexed truths; more than
meets the eye. © 2022 Sami KhalilReviews
