HooksA Poem by Sami KhalilDecide your noble goals...Hooks…………by Sami Khalil It
loomed over…the silvery skies, high
from prying eyes; misty
mornings of enamored clouds; cotton
fluffs embracing the orange glow. On
higher tree tops, soft whistles chirped dutifully. Wandering
thoughts called mysteriously virtual
eyes beauty-courtesy of lily lovers, tender
jewels, little babies fondled at birth, weaned
to adulthood from milk. It
loomed large…that heavenly peace, richer
by the hour, taking turns in
the apogee; the top shelf of publications. Turn
slightly that head with a smile; life
is ours to decide, to walk towards the stage, with
or without crowd’s cheers. For
the moment, let us belong, to get hooked on
noble goals, for all frames fall without good hooks. It
loomed not…across battering rams. © 2022 Sami KhalilReviews
