Where Love softly LaysA Poem by Sami KhalilRomance is needed in a harsh world.Where Love Softly Lays
by
Sami Khalil My eyes caressed you tightly, as my heart surrendered to your feminine sway. A dusty moon swept me off of my feet, while it controlled the tides between us. A sprightly kiss, replete with higher arts, patterned the tidy restitution, within the subconscious realm. I resolved to loving you, towards that wayward, propitious love. A distant, ancillary voice called mirthlessly: “Don’t do it” …relatively speaking turning into a vituperative attack. With a cheeky grin, a faceless gaze, back sorely bent, I replied: I will shiver alone in my bare longings; Somethings are not meant to be comprehended, especially where love softly lays. © 2022 Sami KhalilReviews
