La Vie En Rose by Sami Khalil

My thoughts expand-

to reclaim life, to fall into a rhythm,

to touch the skies, to sift through the dirt.

“Voir la vie en rose”:

Some are easy stretches, peaceful;

others are uneasy and anxious,

like unto wolf’s howls-brooding;

horizontal vs. upright coffins, guarding cobwebs.

“Voir la vie en rose”:

Two-dazed eyes that clutch barrel guns,

peering through eager wows and woeful woes;

twain-bloated lips that kiss hot kettles;

hands that caress small embers;

ears which vibrate in empty halls;

breaths to waft upward of scented winds,

towards a burst of stars.

Life binds us in many strings;

White-buttoned shirts stained with the landscapes.

“Voir la vie en rose!”

Please hold my hands, take away my thoughts,

As I scramble for the next chapter.

so very deep and telling! we should be like the rose - rising above the muck and mire to bloom in beauty. doesn't matter where or what we came from. keep reaching upward, growing and blooms will come no matter in all different unique colors for each of us. no one or thing can stop it. wonderful philosophical analogy i loved every word, every twist, every bend all the way to the end. excellent word knitting and imagery here. one of my favorites of your's i think. bravo ... :)
